Link Academy Trust Outreach Courses

Outreach courses bring the Inclusion Hub learning directly into our Link Academy schools.

Last year, the 'Feeling Great About Myself' travelled to Otterton, Drakes, Tedburn St Mary and Yeoford Primary Schools.

Here are some of the children's learnings:

"I have learnt to not worry so much and to stop feeling anxious. I don't know how to describe it. I can just feel that when something I would normally worry about I can sort of control myself. I just tell myself not to worry and everything will probably be fine in the end."

"I have learnt that everyday isn't going to be perfect. It's OK to feel sad and you can calm yourself back down. Maybe read a book and do some doodling."

"I liked the bubble bouncing - if someone says something mean to me I can not think about it and not let it in."

"I learnt not shout at people - be calm - when I got really annoyed at my sister, I used to shout at her - now I'm trying to keep my cool."

"We don’t always have to be happy because sometimes you don’t get your own way you have to see what everyone else wants."

"I learnt how to feel great about myself and what things I can do to help me -like when we were talking about the brain - the jellyfish brain tells you when your nervous.  I liked talking about things we enjoyed and passing around compliments."
