Life After Lockdown Woodland Course

Parent feedback comments:

"It’s ok to ask for more support -  we are doing the very best we can -
my child the deserves a school experience where he can feel safe, supported and can thrive."

"Life after lockdown has had a positive impact on both my boy and myself. We have learnt about what happens in our brains when we have big emotions and feelings, and have become more aware of the things we can do to bring ourselves back to our calm 'thinking brains'. We have both been thinking about and building up a list of 'tools' / activities that we enjoy and that keep us calm, focused and happy. This has been really useful; My child is now able to realise when he is angry/grumpy/sad and not thinking, but feeling and reacting. He is still finding it hard to use his 'tools' to bring himself back to his calm thinking brain though, but the course has enabled me to recognise this and try and help him manage his strong feelings. It has also given us some special time together and a safe and supportive space to share, learn and explore alongside some amazing people."

It gave us a safe and supported space to take the pressure off from the demands
that daily school and family life can bring.

"I am going to try and find the time to look after myself and my own mental health, as well as my children's. I need to really focus on the small successes to help build his self esteem and self worth."

"It was great to build relationships and feel that I can trust that we have support from the Inclusion Hub."

"We are not the only family going through these challenges!"
